Timeline

What the Evidence Shows

The public record supports an organizational chain connecting Ya Liu, CAECA, campaign organizer Zhang Weiyong, and CAECA's documented meetings with senior officials in the CCP United Front system. These relationships are supported by CAECA's own publications and Zhang's own statements.

CAECA maintained direct institutional contact with officials of the State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, an office incorporated into and administered by the CCP Central United Front Work Department. CAECA also directly met Chen Xu in her capacity as deputy minister of the United Front Work Department.
