I Do Not Accept PAC Donations

After six months in politics, I have a much clearer picture of how PACs operate, and the reality is more troubling than I once believed. Campaigns should be funded by individuals, not by the millions of dollars that pour into small races and drown out the voices of the people who actually live in them. Candidates routinely promise they won’t be swayed by PAC money. I’m not convinced that’s possible.

I believe that when ideas are strong and resonate with people, they can beat the political machine. My opponent’s funding flows largely through the Democratic Machine, and I’ve chosen a different path.

I will not accept PAC money. If you lead a PAC, please don’t send a contribution. It will be returned. I welcome your personal vote, but I won’t take meetings tied to PAC support, and any such checks will be declined. This race should be decided by the people who live here, which is exactly why support from fellow citizens matters so much.
