NO PAC MONEY!

After six months in politics, I have a much clearer picture of how PACs operate — and the reality is more troubling than I once believed.
Too much of modern politics revolves around money, influence, and political machines instead of the people who actually live in our communities. Small races that should be decided by neighbors and local voters are flooded with outside money, consultants, and special interests.
My opponent, Ya Liu, chooses to participate in that system, receiving thousands of dollars from PACs, including $7,000 from a single PAC in 2024 alone. Candidates often insist that PAC money does not influence them. I’m simply not convinced that is possible.
I chose a different path.
I believe campaigns should be funded by individuals — not by organizations seeking influence, access, or political leverage. I believe strong ideas, authentic leadership, and direct engagement with voters can still defeat the political machine.
That is why I refuse all PAC money.
If you lead a PAC, please do not send a contribution. It will be returned. I welcome your personal support and your vote as an individual citizen, but I will not take meetings tied to PAC donations, and I will not allow outside organizations to purchase influence in this campaign.

This race belongs to the people of District 21 — not to political machines in Raleigh, Washington, or corporate boardrooms.
I know refusing PAC money makes this campaign harder. But leadership is not about choosing the easiest path. It is about choosing the right one.
