Ya Had Your Chance

For 4 years, District 21 has heard the same promises from Ya Liu.

We were told there would be progress on affordability. We were promised action on housing costs. We heard about helping small businesses and raising wages for working families.

But after two terms in office, where are the results?

North Carolina’s minimum wage is still $7.25 per hour. Housing affordability has continued to decline across much of the state. Families are paying more for groceries, utilities, insurance, and property taxes. Small businesses continue to struggle with rising costs and economic uncertainty. The tax relief and affordability solutions voters were promised simply never materialized.

At some point, leadership has to be measured by outcomes—not campaign slogans.

Even more concerning, Representative Liu has failed to pass a single primary-sponsored bill into law during her time in office. In a legislature where relationships, negotiation, and effectiveness matter, results are what count. Constituents deserve more than social media posts and talking points. They deserve representation that can actually deliver.

That’s why Bryson Johnson is running.

Bryson is not a career politician. He is a cybersecurity engineer, a longtime business owner, and a community leader who has spent decades solving problems in the real world. He has managed budgets, created jobs, led teams, and worked directly with families throughout the community for over 20 years.

Unlike Ya Liu, Bryson refuses PAC money and to participate in a corrupt system.

Bryson understands both the challenges facing working families and the realities of running a business in today’s economy.

His campaign is focused on practical solutions:

• Expanding access to mental health resources

• Protecting critical infrastructure and public safety

• Supporting small businesses and economic growth

• Bringing accountability and transparency back to government

• Keeping North Carolina affordable for families, retirees, and young professionals

Most importantly, Bryson believes leadership should bring people together—not divide them.
